About Us
What we do
Our History
Inspired by the pioneering work of Mary Seacole, a trailblazing nurse in the 19th century, our academy was founded with the goal of empowering the next generation of nursing assistants. We have established a reputation for excellence in education, with a strong emphasis on practical experience, effective communication, and patient safety.
Our Program
Our Nursing Assistant program consists of two key components: the theoretical portion and the clinical portion. The theoretical portion comprises 60 hours of lectures, instructor demonstrations, and continuous knowledge evaluation. The clinical portion consists of 100 hours of hands-on clinical experience, for a total of 160 hours as required by the California Department of Public Health.
- Our experienced instructors guide students through course content, exposing them to real-world nursing procedures and techniques used in clinical settings. Our comprehensive program covers a range of vital topics, including vital signs, basic care, infection control, safety, and clinical nursing.
- At Mary Seacole Nursing Care Training Academy, we understand that our students have different needs and commitments. That's why we offer day, evening, and weekend classes to accommodate various schedules.
- We take immense pride in our graduates' accomplishments and their consistently high scores on certification exams. Our accredited program, dedicated staff, and supportive learning environment ensure that our students are well-prepared for successful and fulfilling careers in healthcare.
I trust that England will not forget one who nursed her sick, who sought out her wounded to aid and succour them, and who performed the last offices for some of her illustrious dead.
