at Mary Seacole Nursing Care Training Academy

Mary Seacole Nursing Care Training Academy is dedicated to providing exceptional education and hands-on training for aspiring nursing assistants. Our mission is to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver compassionate care, promote patient independence, and excel in their careers in the healthcare industry.

Our Program

Programs at Mary Seacole Nursing Care Training Program prepare students to enter the rapidly changing field of allied health. Instructors are experienced licensed professionals in their specific fields. Our equipment are industry - standard and are regularly updated to reflect current procedures in the workplace.

II. CERTIFIED HOME HEALTH AIDE (CHHA)

This 40-hour course prepares current Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to be eligible care providers for Home Health and Hospice agencies to perform safe and excellent care. The program consists of 20 theory hours and 20 hours or supervised clinical training in a long-term care facility of a home health agency approved by CDPH conducted by a CDPH approved Licensed Nurses. Successful students completing the program will receive a Certificate of Completion, making them eligible to be certified as Home Health Aide granted by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). The full title of certificate awarded to students who complete the program is Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA).
Fees and Charges: This institution does not receive federal assistance in behalf of their students.

Physical Examination

A comprehensive assessment of an individual's overall health, conducted by a healthcare professional.

TB Test

TB testing are the tuberculin skin test (TST), also known as the Mantoux test, and the interferon-gamma release assay (IGRA) blood test. Takes 48-72 hours for results.

Vaccinations

COVID 19, COVID 19 Booster, Flu Vaccination (During Flu Season: State Required)

NOTE: CDPH (California Department of Public Health) evaluates criminal convictions for any offense  and either grants or denies certification based on criminal record clearance. Failure to obtain background clearance prohibits students from obtaining a CNA certification.

CDPH will review LiveScan/DOJ results and determine if the individual is “cleared” or “not cleared”; and send the individual a letter explaining the results. 

If at anytime during the students training or after completion of the program and or after passing their competency test receive notification from the California Department of Public Health that they have been disqualified from certification, SacMed Training is not obligated to provide any monetary refund for services provided.
